Construction Phases and Cost Estimates

Stabilization of Roof and Structure for $350,000- Completed May 16, 2007

Phase I – Facade (Georgia Historic Preservation Division Grant) - Completed - Ribbon Cutting Dec. 17, 2009

Phase II – Life Safety - $173,250 - Next Steps: develop specifications, solicit bids, and fund specific components during 2010 (for permanent certificate of occupancy).

Phase II includes the scope of work required to bring the building up to code for life safety provisions in order to utilize the facility. During this phase, restrooms will have to be provided by an independent supplier. Prior to each event, a temporary Certificate of Occupancy will have to be obtained.

Phase III – Basic Systems

The work included in Phase III will complete all the basic systems in order for the theater to function independently including plumbing, HVAC, and complete electrical and obtain a Certificate of Occupancy. However, many improvements including wall and floor finishes within the vestibule and theater can be completed as additional phases of work when funds become available.
