Chaplin was the first truly global superstar, drawing crowds in the tens of thousands wherever he traveled. This program explores that fame, the iconic Tramp character at its core, and what was going on behind the scenes.
Dan Kamin’s entertaining and informative multi-media presentation will be illustrated with rare and fascinating images, music and pristine restored film from the period, including Chaplin’s blockbuster war comedy “Shoulder Arms,” released while World War One was still raging.
