Funny Bones, The Comedy of Charlie Chaplin
March 30 @ 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm
Dan trained Robert Downey Jr. for his Oscar-nominated performance in the movie “Chaplin” and created Johnny Depp’s comedy moves for the film “Benny and Joon.”
In Funny Bones, he’ll screen Chaplin’s 1916 comic masterpiece “The Pawnshop,” and then peel the layers of the film to reveal its surprising secrets. You’ll learn all about Chaplin’s remarkable body language and brilliant visual comedy, and you’ll also see some brilliant sleight-of-hand and visual comedy from Kamin. This program won’t just change the way you look at Chaplin’s world—it will change the way you look at your own as well.
“Part Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, mixed with Marcel Marceau, Andy Kaufman and Steve Martin. It adds up to a demented, charming and brilliant performance.”
