Clark W. Griswold (Chevy Chase) always wants the very best for his family. Unfortunately, when he tries to give them the perfect anything, including the ultimate, old-fashioned family Christmas, one hilarious disaster after another ensues.
It’s an endlessly quotable annual classic that registers on both the naughty and nice lists, unleashes enough gags to last all 12 days of Christmas, and features so many yuletide mishaps that somehow it all turns out alright in the end. And, really, isn’t that about the best most of our family Christmases can hope for? Rated PG
